Welcome to NewHeart Expressions' (NHE's) Find True Identity Discipleship. This is one of the most exciting yet difficult journeys you'll ever embark upon. My name is Pastor Ron. And I'll be you host and mentor through NHE's Find True Identity Discipleship.
NHE's Disciplship is broken into three semesters each year: the Fall Semester, the Spring Semester, and the Summer Semester. And yes, this is a JOURNEY not a marathon!
NHE's Disciplehip begins with Zoom sessions, meeting once-a-week for 90-minutes each time. Accompanied by daily and weekly homework assignments called diagnostiX; involving phone/text/email communique and 8 diagnostiX to help identify and define God and others, ourselves and our struggles with the truth of God's Word. It's not just about the whats; it's about the whys and the hows. Because your brokenness is a window into your healing!

FIND TRUE IDENTITY DISCIPLESHIP—basiX
FIRST YEARS (6 to 12 months… once a week 90-minute sessions):
First Years are learning their ABC's. Learning to rest in God's acceptance, belonging, and competence in contrast with humanity’s search for significance. Learning to experience God’s upside-down world through the Galatians 2:20 Teachings of Romans 5, 6, 7, & 8; alongside NHE's Exchanged Life Diagrams and 5 Paradigms leading to everlasting forgiveness, faith, and freedom.
God's 5 Paradigms:
- God’s POWER & PLAN in contrast to man’s search for acceptance
- God’s PERSPECTIVE in contrast to man’s search for belonging
- God’s PRESENCE & PEACE in contrast to man’s search for competence
THAT'S THE SURRENDERED LIFE!!!
SECOND YEARS (18 to 24 months… semi-monthly sessions—1st & 3rd or 2nd & 4th week sessions):
The 7 A’s—basiX: XtrategiXtepX: (pronounced strategic-steps) for living the Christian Life successfully.
(The 7 A's were developed by Mike and Jody Cleveland and Setting Captives Free, published in 2000 and revised in 2017)
Second Years are learning how to use God's Word strategically with 7 A's. How to exchange bad thinking, bad choices, and bad feelings for God’s way of thnking, choosing, and feeling. We learn using three radicals, three relationals, and one testimonial... this is the longest and most difficult year of NHE’s Find True Identity Discipleship... studied alongside Setting Captives Free 365 Devotional:
- THREE RADICALS:
- Radical Amputation of sins and poeple, place, and things that lead to sinning
- Radical Appropriation of Jesus as Life... exchanging sins & sinning for Jesus' Life of obedience
- Radical Accountabililty with a few trusted men to help amputate sins and sinning and to appropriate Jesus as Life
- THREE RELATIONALS:

Constant Attachment to Jesus as Life—as my only source for living

Passionate Adoration of Jesus as Life—as my most cherished treasure
- Accurate Affirmation of Jesus as Life—as my true identity

- ONE TESTIMONY:

Compelling Articulation is the testimony of Jesus’ Life living in and through me... it's His Life not mine!

THAT'S THE CRUCIFIED LIFE!!!
THIRD YEARS (12 months… monthly sessions for as long as needed or desired)
The 7 L’s: basiX—Life-XtepX (pronounced life-steps) for living the Christian Life successfully.
Third Years are learning how to appropriate Jesus’ Life more intimately... by embracing, ensuing, and enjoying Jesus as Life!
- EMBRACING the Christian Life... i.e. —
- coming to know Jesus as:
- my redeeming & sovereing LORD,
- my forgiving LAMB... and—
- my saving Life
- coming to know Jesus as:
- ENSUING the Christian Life... i.e. —
- pressing-in to know Jesus as:
- my rescuing LIBERATOR
- my all-wise LEADER... and—
- my LIGHT-SOURCE of Grace & Truth
- pressing-in to know Jesus as:
- ENJOYING the Christian Life... i.e. —
- basking in Jesus’ Life as: the LOVER of My Soul
THAT'S THE DEEPER LIFE!!!
FIND TRUE IDENTITY DISCIPLESHIP—worXhopX
FOURTH YEARS
(12 months+ of quarterly check-ins and/or monthly sessions, for as long as needed or desired)
- Fourth Years journey through NHE's Find True Identity in the Bible’s Profiles: worXhopX for living the Christian Life successfully... studying with mentorship in quarterly sessions (monthly sessions when needed)...
FIFTH YEARS FOREVER
(12 months+ of annual check-ins, and/or monthly or quarterly sessions, for as long as needed and/or desired)
- Fifth Years continue to journey through NHE's Find True Identity in the Bible’s Profiles: worXhopX for living the Christian Life successfully... studying on their own or with a mentor in monthly and/or quarterly sessions...
THAT'S THE EXCITING LIFE!!!
Let's sum it all up!
Students journey through as First Years' (the length of time varies), and after finding their true identity in Christ they move on to live out the Christian Life successfully—i.e., living from Jesus' Life day-by-day and moment-by-moment.
Having surrendered to Jesus living His Life in and through them as First Years', some continue on as Second Years'. Learning to put their newfound Life and freedom into practice—i.e., into game-plans and strategies.
Those who continue as Third, Fourth, and/or Fifth Years' do so to deepen their relationship with Jesus. To nurture their understanding of their new Life in Christ and sharpen their skills at living from Jesus as Life. And finally, many begin learning how to communicate His Life, His Light, and His Love—the Exchanged Life—to others. Having come full spectrum, their discipleship becomes mentorship—students intent on making disciples.
